Stay sober
It’s easy to be consumed by what others think about you. In reality, everyone is struggling. They rarely do care. To them, it does not matter whether you went to a restaurant last week, or had an amazing trip to the Bahamas. You yearn to be noticed, appreciated, and valued. But you are seeking all that from the wrong audience. Instead, you post your nice lifestyle- albeit a fake one, for a poor miser in Nairobi to envy. You think you will be admired.
Or you post your baby for a username who’s been trying to get a kid for the last five years. You show your happiness to the wrong audience. I’ll go a mile further in prohibiting you from sharing your glory, your intimate moments, your happiness, etc for people who least know you.
You are not being liked- for showing a glamourous lifestyle. Leave that to socialites and depressing social media influencers. People will not like you for what you have. They’ll envy you and they’ll go a degree up in trying to take everything from you. You invite stalkers into your life. You are jeopardizing your security.
Don’t seek validation from your close friends and family. That’s the work for insecure individuals. Let your actions validate you. Let your care speak for you. Let your respect, love for enterprise, and conviction in whatever you do testify for you. If you focus on yourself and what you can offer others, you’ll be automatically be validated.
Stay sober. Be consumed by what you think you can achieve rather than what you’ll want to show others. Remember most people don’t care. What are the endless possibilities awaiting you in terms of what you can do? Resources can be limited but no human is ever limited. Just like the expanse of space, ever-expanding- distances as big as a hundred billion light-years, the same applies to the possibilities for man and woman. If enough concentration is applied, and we stop giving an ounce about how usernames will think about what we do, we will achieve much (courtesy of the distractions we minimize).
Choose simplicity. It’s cheap. But to the ones that chose otherwise, simplicity has become an expensive and elusive thing. They are afraid people will judge them. They are afraid of getting out of the house without make-up. They are thinking of what their friends will think about their clothes. These humans have chosen to be slaves of other people’s perceptions. They’ll never reach far for this horrendous weakness.
Don’t be intoxicated for media presence. Work on you. Focus on the dreams that make you feel special inside. That is what should worry you.
Stay sober. For you and your goals. Be inspired.
Have a wonderful time- of Sobriety and Prudence.
